We are the Vidra family! Originally from Long Island, New York but now we are full time residents in South Florida.

Lindsay (daughter) has always had a passion for working with children. Growing up, she was a sleep-away counselor every summer until she graduated from college. She also worked at her father’s childcare centers during school breaks. Throughout her life, she always knew she was meant to be a teacher. In 2014, Lindsay earned her master’s degree from Hunter College, with a focus in both special education and general education. Since receiving her degree, she has worked in NYC public schools as well as private schools for children with a variety of learning disabilities. Lindsay is an experienced and dedicated child advocate, with a strong focus on the individual needs of each child. Her primary goal is to ensure that children thrive and develop in a safe, adaptable, and educational environment.

Andrew (father) has been a franchise owner of multiple childcare centers for the past 30 years. He has been involved in the day-to-day operations, including interactions with parents, teachers, and children. Andrew has enjoyed having a positive and important influence on the children and communities he served. He looks forward to continuing to play an integral role in enriching children’s lives.

Marla (mother) worked for the New York State Office of Developmental Disabilities for over 40 years, where she was a dedicated advocate for both children and adults. She assisted families to help improve their loved ones’ independence. Marla supervised an interdisciplinary team of social workers, nurses, and psychologists. She also loved organizing and developing a Special Olympics program each year. Maria will be a valuable member of our team!

The Vidra family is excited to provide a space where every child feels safe and where they “never have to say I’m sorry!”
